Report a Claim

To start the claims process, call (866) 999-0898 or contact your agent. Once you’ve reported your claim, an adjuster will contact you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.

What to Expect

If required, your adjuster will schedule an on-site inspection to review damages and take photos, typically within 72 hours. The adjuster will review relevant information, determine the cause of damage and handle the claim according to your policy coverage. Depending on your policy and what damage has occurred, you may be eligible for additional living expenses.

Make the claims process smoother
Help us handle your claim as quickly as possible. Inspect all areas of your home for damage and make a complete list of damages to your home and property. Let us know if your home is damaged so much that you can’t live in it. Additionally, take these steps:

Protect your property from additional damage
Cover broken windows, turn off water sources or take other necessary steps to prevent further loss.

Document the damage
Take photos, save damaged property and provide documentation, such as product manuals and receipts if you can. During your initial contact with our Claims department, let the adjuster know that you have photos or documents to help expedite the claims process.

Save receipts for additional living expenses
We understand that expenses may increase while your home is being repaired. Save the receipts for expenses you incur.

Review damage estimates
After inspection, your claims adjuster will provide an estimate or scope of work designed to protect you from overpriced or unnecessary repairs. Review it carefully. Ask questions of your adjuster if needed.

Get professional help for repairs
Contact one of our Preferred Pros or select your own contractor. Make sure they work with your claims adjuster so costs that are not covered do not get charged.

Report additional damage
If you find any hidden damage after the estimate has been completed and repairs are underway, contact your adjuster immediately for a revised estimate.

Make sure the mortgage company on your policy is current
Notify your mortgage company of your claim. They may need important information from you to finalize release of funds. If your mortgage company has changed, notify your agent or claims adjuster right away as this could affect the name on your claims payment.
